The young Abraham Lincoln, studying borrowed school books far into the night is an example of inspiration to the man, to the woman, who strives against the odds of circumstance to make his place in the world.

Forty years ago these people, our parents, some of them married, some of them with children, but all of them with a living to earn by day, had not the opportunity that we have today.

After every class, professors told students that they will require some books to study, to pass their exams.
